A few species of Demon possess the ability to shift their position suddenly when about to be struck. By quickly scooping up and consuming the residue left upon their destruction, a human can steal this gift.
While in effect, the Potion of Phasing grants the imbiber a potent defense. Any attack that would otherwise hit him instead triggers a phasing effect that moves him out of harm's way.
