Through a series of very complex effects, the Clone spell creates a nearby image of the caster that mimics his movements exactly. Although insubstantial, the image is capable of casting the Magic Arrow spell against the caster's enemies. It can also cast the Restore spell if the caster is endangered, but doing so draws a charge from the appropriate Spell Focus.
The Clone lasts until a certain amount of time passes, then is absorbed back into its originator, leaving on his robes the faint scent of brimstone. For this reason, many Sorcerors who make regular use of the Clone spell keep extra charges in the Launder Spell Foci as a matter of course.
