The Research spell provides an important link between Sorcerors. Individual Sorcerors use the Record spell to contribute knowledge to a central pool, which is then available for general consumption.
When cast, Research waits for a subject to be chosen by bodily contact, at which point it instantly retrieves the desired information.
The widespread adoption of physical libraries has reduced the Research spell's popularity in modern times, but it is still considered an essential part of any Sorceror's collection.
